Wallpaper Sizing and cropping

I had to reset my phone and now when I set my wallpaper the same picture I used before is too large and the cropping tool makes it blurry. Tried resizing image and no help. I thought there was a way to take 480 X 800 photo and set it as the home wallpaper without cropping. ANy ideas thanks.

This is one of the new things that ICS broke. You can fix that with "PicSpeed HD wallpapers" app or "QuickPic" app. Install either of those, then browse your pictures within your Gallery, pick your picture, click on the bottom menu, click more, click set as, then pick "QuickPic wallpaper" or "PicSpeed wallpaper" (depending on which one you install) and have the app set your wallpaper. It is very stupid, but I have to do this now too and it works just fine to set 480X800 full size wallpapers to screen.
