What is the deal with the wallpaper? I wanted a cute pic of my son posing with the Avengers background pic but it keeps going back to a stock wallpaper? Really? After all these updates? Id appreciate a solution to this issue.

Not sure what the problem is for you. I can set my background to any pic I want and it stays until I change it again.

Yeah....I never have any issues.....are sure your doing it right.....are you saving or just backing out once you have the wallpaper the way you want.....

This happens to me all of the time with the stock Moto launcher on my Droid 3 (which is the same launcher you have on the Bionic.) The good news is that there are plenty of really good replacement launchers that are better than stock and which do not suffer from the wallpaper problem - Go Launcher EX, ADW and ADW EX (my favorite of this bunch), Zeam Launcher. Try Go Launcher EX (which is free) and see if it works well for you. Note that there are plenty of preferences that you can set that affect the number of home screens, etc. If you do not like it, uninstalling the app will bring you back to stock, just the way that you left it.

However, do note that if you like that pull-down people widget that comes with the stock launcher, that widget only works with stock...

Ok let me explain. Changing wallpaper is not the problem. The problem is when u take a pic and try to save it as background or wallpaper. It stays for a minute then goes back to stock wallpaper which I dont want.

Still not sure what the deal is...I have no problem doing that either.

Never had this issue.

But did you delete the pic?

I've had times when my wallpaper image had reverted back from my Go themed wallpaper to the phone's stock wallpaper, but I attributed that to a temporary lack of memory. I usually have to run a cache clearing app or reboot the phone to fix the problem. This has been quite a pain since there have been times it's happened several times in one day.

No I didn't delete the pic and im wondering how to change pics into wallpaper format. Not sure why several updates have gone by but didnt address this issue.

This works for me:

Settings>Display>Wallpaper Settings>Select wallpaper from>Gallery>choose pic & size it>Save

Tried that?

Edit: The pic has to have been saved to Gallery beforehand.

It has nothing to do with "updates" when you are the only one experiencing it.

As I said earlier, this is a known issue with the Droid 3 as well (which has the same launcher and Android build as the Bionic.) I have always suspected that it is some sort of memory leak in the launcher - sometimes the custom wallpaper spontaneously comes back. And, as I said, it does not happen if you switch to another launcher (at least, it doesn't happen to me.)

Thanks ...ill try the launcher now. A friend took my phone, downloaded wallpaper changer from google play and it works changing wallpaper using ALL my pics. Rolled eyes. Now I like my awesome Bionic better. Hoping it'll be fixed with next updates or ICS.
