anyone here going to subscribe to walmart plus? look like they are going to expand home delivery and offer scan and go to members. otherwise, not much is being said about it right now.

I am not sure about it myself. I see no real benefits for their members but might give the two week trial a go if available at my local walmart. I like the scan and go feature though it will be interesting to see how it works. Look like it could be more of a pain to use than a convenience.

I doubt I'll get it. I just don't see how it can beat Prime for what I would use it for. The fuel discounts could be nice, but the closest Walmart to me with fuel is about 20minutes away. Kinda defeats the purpose. Scan and go is prolly not that much easier than self checkout, and I'm sure they'll make you sign up for Walmart Pay to use it. We'll see what other benefits it brings.

you are right about the fuel. it might be worth it if you actually get 5 cents per gallon. since they said up to five cents, it makes me wonder. the closest walmart gas is 25 minutes away from me. as far as signing up for walmart pay, yep, if you want to use scan and go, it is a must. I already use it so it won't be much different.

I also think you are right about scan and go vrs self checkout. seems to me based on my experience at sams club, your shopping trip will be longer, to scan and go, you got to turn the screen on everytime you pick something up. I wonder how walmart will check to make sure you paid for eveything.

I'm just guessing, but the fuel savings will probably be like at Kroger. To get max savings it'll depend on how much you've spent in a given timeframe.

I get deliveries now from Walmart but just bottled water and a few things I've found while price checking.. doubt I would go in and the closest one is not so far but hate crossing that bridge

I'd get it for scan and go. I have sam's club and that scan and go is a life saver

I signed uip for the 15 day free trial. they gave another 15 days for answering three questions, then went to Walmart to see how it works for the experience. walked in the door and nothing about it - no signage at all. they did not even make bags available. I did my shopping hoping no kids or carts ran into me making me drop the phone. The scanning was easy though you stood in the aisle while scanning. I did cause one person behind me to wait as I scanned mulltiple items. pick up a walmart cloth sack for 50 cents and stuck all my goodies in it. I wanted to see what would happen if I hid my purchases when I went to self checkout.

You have to go to the self check out register to scan the code to finish the check out process. Fortunately there was no line. scanned the code and started to walk out. the associate monitoring the self check out registers was confused. It was the same look I used to see when using mobile payments years ago. guess I was the first one to use it so I showed her the phone screen where it says I checked out. wonder what would have happened if I had a big tv on the cart or security tag went off at the door. Next trip I will get something that has a security tag on it :-)

It works just like the one at sams club and it worked pretty good but I do not plan to pay for the feature since it is the only benefit available at my local walmart. waste of money but will keep using it for the next thirty days before parting ways.
