Want the Evo 3D lost your "Gold Premier" rewards?

So I'm a nerd when it comes to this phone. My research lead me to a central website (palm) and they had an article posted showing how if you lost your yearly upgrade with the sprint premier tier, then you arent out of luck. If you hurry you can call sprint and see if they can do a "Tieroverride." I took this to the sprint website and started with an online chat. He gave me a number to call and wolah! He said that when the Evo comes out they'll give me the upgrade. I just need to bring it up to the sprint employee when i go to pre-order it.

And what would this magical phone number be? Was it difficult or pretty straight forward? Would I have to threaten to leave or were they pretty accommodating? Did I ask enough questions?

I was a gold premier member before they made the change apparently on 4/30. I went online one day and saw I was silver and was wtf? I was furious so I called sprint and went bat**** on them.. After being a customer for many years and to get downgraded like that was such BS.. I told them this.. And said if they don't do something I am leaving sprint, inquired about what it would cost to get out of contract etc.. Right as I was about to hang up with them she said let me put you on hold while I talk with someone.. comes back and said I will put you back up to gold so you can get the full upgrade.. Mind you this was more extreme but yeah call them and insist they put you back.

My experience, and general consensus on the forums, is that Sprint is pretty accommodating and reasonable. They don't want to lose customers and will usually take care of you. Sprint does keep good notes though so I'd start with a civil approach before blasting full tilt.

I did the same thing. I was able to do all of this over the chat though, you just have to be persistent.

A lot easier than i thought.. i dont have the number any more but I'm sure if you started a chat like i did they would give you the number.

Art is the man! Just tell him you lost your upgrade, he will see if you really did or not and he will do his best to restore it. He restored mine, I got my EVO launch day and I am eligible for an upgrade this month. Keep in mind this is a one time thing, you are getting one last early upgrade and it will revert back to 22 months after using it.
