I have no idea what exactly I'm doing with HTC devices since I've come from Samsung. My phone is a totally stock Google Edition phone so what exactly would I need to use the Developer Edition RUU on my phone? Most of the guides or threads I've read only talk about either carrier versions to Dev Edition or converting a One to Google Edition while also being several months out of date. I'm on HBOOT 1.54, which I think matters.:-[

if you have s-off, u need the RUU for the latest Dev edition and relock your bootloader if u unlocked it.. you need to change the CID to Super CID (11111111) then run the RUU exe. file. it should change you phone to a dev phone, after its done change your CID to the dev version, cant remember the CID name, youll have to look it up. It's going to be unrooted and stock recovery back on. just keep that in mind

Okay so I've unlocked the bootloader, S-OFF'd, changed to superCID, relocked and tried to run the RUU.exe. I keep getting Error 155: UNKNOWN ERROR. Not sure what to do here. I've also tried using the CID BS_US001 and also some combinations involving an unlocked bootloader. All the same error.

where do u get that message?? during install??

I've never seen error 155 before.. u downloaded the correct RUU, right?? Brightstar//WWE//RUU zip?? If u PM ur email to me ill send u the file I used..

You do know the only dfference between your GE phone and the Developers edition is the Developers edition comes with the bootloader already unlocked, So once you unlock your bootloader you have a Developers edition.

Google the error message, I think you need to verify that your boot loader is locked before running the RUU. For some unknown reason, even on the DE, he boot loader needs to be locked before you can run the RUU.
