Warm Stock Adapter?

My stock samsung wall usb converter gets very warm while charging the tablet. The tablet does not get warm. Is that normal or do I have a bad adapter?

All transformers produce "waste" heat; basic electric theory.

The question is, how warm? Uncomfortably hot would be a bad sign; merely warm is to be expected.

Warmer than any of my other adapters but not to hot to touch. I just wondered if other peoples' are cool. Like my cell moto phone adapter is cool while charging. Ambient temperature.
