Hi guys... wonder if you can help.

I was on www.mobile9.com's website and wanted to downlaod a wallpaper to my phone (HTC ONE)
When I hit the "download" tab, the following message popped up

This type of file can harm your mobile device. Do you want to keep sunrise.apk anyway ?

Will this really harm my device if I download the wallpaper... or is is a certificate issue... or because it's from a website and not an app ?

I dont want to download anything if it's gonna bugger up my phone..

Thanks for your replies in advance :)

You'll get that warning for every third party anything you download. However, the fact that the wallpaper is an apk file is a little strange to me.

I'm not that clued up on file names etc... does strange mean that they are usually not apk files... should I rather leave this and not download it... I dont want to take chances...
Thanks

Any wallpapers should come in as a normal picture file extension such as PNG or JPEG. I'm skeptical of the download since it's a wallpaper. APK is an application's extension. So, I'm not sure as to why they want you to download an APK for a wallpaper.
