Do not try to flash the 2.1 .sbf or you will brick your phone. We will have to wait for a new .sbf to flash.

I have been reading a lot about this.
Question, why are people wanting to go back to 2.1 anyway? I haven't upgraded to 2.2 yet (waiting for things to calm down) and now I am wondering if 2.1 is better!?! I hope not.

By the way...newbie here....what does SBF stand for?

well crap...i figured that was the best thing to do since my install failed when i tried doing the OTA to 2.2 to get it back to stock and try again...dangit...so what can i do now that mine is apparently all f'd up? it reads as follows:

Service Req'd
Battery OK
OK to Program
Connect USB
Data Cable

So you actually ran the 2.2 OTA update successfully and then tried to flash the .sbf?
