The special edition with the s821 and 256gb of storage looks killer, but I can't go for a 3000mah non removable battery. Battery life might be decent with an amoled 1080p screen, but having the s7 edge makes me realize how inconvenient it to not be able to swap out for a fresh battery. How anyone can say carrying a power bank around to plug into your phone is a viable alternative is beyond me.

If it has an analog headphone jack, it'll have a DAC and some sort of amp, just maybe not as high end as the V20.

I've said this before on AC, and I'll say it again: it doesn't exist until it exists. They can say anything they want; it's not a contractual obligation. It's a sales and marketing message. "Trust us, you'll get what you want if you buy our thing."

If you plan something around promises from third-world, third-tier tech companies, you'll not be happy.

The best you can do is roll the dice and play the odds. The odds are slim to none on a Chinese third-tier device being anything other than exactly what it is the moment you receive it and turn it on.

The odds aren't much better from any other mobile tech company, but from the big three--Samsung, Apple, LG--they're at least a little better. But even then, be prepared to be happy with what you have, and don't expect anything else.
