Was gonna go from note 7 to v20 but now to asus zenfone 3 deluxe

It's a nice phone with some good specs at a good price. Not sure how good the battery performance will be with only a 3000mAh. I guess its only a 1080p screen so maybe battery will be decent. Still, I would rather have the V20 especially if it comes in at around $600-$650 on T-Mobile.

The special edition with the s821 and 256gb of storage looks killer, but I can't go for a 3000mah non removable battery. Battery life might be decent with an amoled 1080p screen, but having the s7 edge makes me realize how inconvenient it to not be able to swap out for a fresh battery. How anyone can say carrying a power bank around to plug into your phone is a viable alternative is beyond me.

That's why I'm opting for the Moto Z Play over the OnePlus 3. The OP3 seems like a great phone to have, but if I'm moving from a phone with a removable battery (G3 and G4), I need some assurances about the battery life and only the Moto Z Play makes those assurances. My spare G3 battery died and I've been relying on a power bank for a little over a month. I can't stand it.

Support for T-Mobile bands? Wifi calling?

Android updates?

SD card support?

It should have support for T-Mobile bands, can't say regarding wifi calling. It will be receiving Nougat and it supports SD cards.

Nice phone, but I dislike the zen ui and although I love Asus in the PC world... I don't know how the support is for their phones!

ZenUI is why I won't consider this phone.

This is what Motorola says:

All-day battery

Go the whole day with a 2600 mAh battery.²

I sure hope the system is optimized for that.

If I'm going to spend $1000 on a phone, it'd be a Moto Z with the projector or the Hasselblad back before it'd be an LG or Apple phone...

Its full hd not quad hd like the note 7 so the battery in my opinion will be good on 3000mad if the note was only like 200 more mah but was quad hd

Yeah but samsung is quad hd this is only full so yeah that 3000 mah wont be a problem watch

If it has an analog headphone jack, it'll have a DAC and some sort of amp, just maybe not as high end as the V20.
But the v20 on att is like 830 plus 68 in taxes lol 900 bucks yeah ill stick with 500 til the next next 8 so i dont get stuck with a phone for a yr on my upgrade on something thats less than the note 7

WOW that is a nice phone, OP! I may look that up myself... What intrigued you the most about it?
Someone mention it to me and im hooked, just dont know who i should pre order with, amazon or newegg, but i never heard of new egg

I wasn't disputing the price, only the other user's assertation that it wouldn't have a DAC.

My experience with Asus customer support is it is nonexistent. I have a 3 year old Zenbook. The power adapter (charger) is shot. They don't have any in their store and don't expect to ever get any. They suggested I try Amazon or Ebay where they sell only fake Asus chargers (I won't bore you with details but they are obvious fakes). Who stops supporting their top of the line product after only 3 years? Who sends you to resellers and suggests buying fake parts?

Newegg is a pretty decent company. If I were you I'd order it either from them or bhphoto because no tax unless you're in California (newegg) or New York (bhphoto). I've used both for my computing needs over the years and haven't had any problems.

The V20 is certainly not cheap on AT&T but pre-ordered it anyway. It should be a capable device.

I guess AT&T is having a deal where you trade in your old phone towards the V20 you get $200 credit + Headphones. So thats like $630 + taxes.

I'm so so glad I still have my S6 Edge+ which I'm using in the interim after handing in my Note.

I was going to trade it in awhile ago but never did because I still had the dbrand skin on it.

Now I can trade it in for this $200

You ever think of selling it yourself? That phone is worth a good amount more than 200 bucks.
