was the low speaker volume issue addressed?

I don't think this was a software issue. I think this is a hardware issue.

Yes, volume is much improved since the update. No longer need volume+ loaded.

If that was the case people wouldn't be using volume+ to address this issue.

Yeah but using it in the long run has the chance to damage the speaker.

I don't know the diff. w/the upgrade. Increasing volume w/the s/w doesnt help if the speaker can't handle it and gives distortion.

Stock ringtones aren't loud for nothing. Anything I get from Zedge is easily twice as loud.

My volume is higher. Uninstalled volume plus and the speaker volume is fine.

For most items now the volume is OK but some podcasts I find I still need to use Volume Plus

Only volume that bugs me now is the Navigation. I wish it could be a little louder. Love the voice though!

For me, volume is substantially better for youTube videos and games (overall media volume).

But, stock ringtones are still low. Like mentioned earlier, Zedge ringtones and notifications are typically louder.

Don't use Volume+, tried it earlier in the year with not much success.

The only volume that's low on my phone is the menu navigation sound. Ringtones, notifications, games etc. all sound just like my Thunderbolt did. So IMO it's software related.
