If you have an iFixit kit, like this one:
https://www.ifixit.com/Store/Tools/Pro-Tech-Toolkit/IF145-072-1
which I hightly recommend, and a lot of patience and some steady hands, I recommend replacing your own watch band.
Took my Moto360 with the leather strap on it, and the replacement Dark Finish Stainless Steel to a local shop to have them swapped. It was an unfortunate waste of $10. Sure he did install the new band, but he seemed unwilling to remove a link even though I thought the watch fit more like a bracelet than a mans watch.
After a few hours of wearing it, I was annoyed enough that I decided to take it upon myself to get a link removed. I spent a bit of time with pushpins, nails, and paperclips before I recalled I had the kit above and it included a perfect 0.7mm circular bit that turned out to be absolutely ideal for pushing the pins out of the links. Awesome.
As I was putting away the link in the original package that the leather band went into I realized why there were unsightly gaps between the body and the band, the watch dude didn't bother looking for the parts that were designed to fit in and fill that gap. So I ended up having to use my iFixit kit again to actually remove the band I had just paid $10 to get installed, so that I could properly install the two pieces that filled the gap.
Moral of the story is, don't pay someone to do something you have the time, tools, and inclination to accomplish yourself.
tl;dr watch guy did a sorry job installing new band, had to redo whole thing myself.
