Watch ESPN app not working on Lgv20

I have T-Mobile and direct-tv. I have been using this app on many previous android devices and never had any trouble. Got my Lgv20 yesterday to replace my note and when I try to login on the app it just freezes. It works fine on the note 7. I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled it but still the same results. Is anyone else having trouble with this app. If this is going to be a problem I have to get another phone as I use this app all the time.
