Watch will not end my workout?

Hey everyone. Hope all is well.

I have been setting my watch to circuit training workout but when I am done I cannot get the watch to stop the workout.

If I am just testing it, I can get a workout to stop, but for a real workout I have to power off my watch to get it to stop. The back button either just pressing normal or a long press is not bringing up the end option.

Any suggestions?

How you been ?
I wish I could help but don't use watches , I have them but don't use lol .
I'm sure others will chime in, just wanted say hi :)

Hi Mustang! :)

How are you? I hope you have been well. I am sure you have been busy. I have been involved with lots of things as of late. Electronics have been on the back burner but I will always be a gadget girl :-)

I think once the workout is in overdrive the watch doesn't know how to shut itself off. It may be a Samsung defect. I started doing this circuit training workout and the info you get from the watch to the app is amazing. It really tells a story and will tell you if your workout is doing what it is supposed to be doing.

Soooooo if I need to reboot after each of those workouts I will but I am still hoping there is another way. Since I don't start the workout on the phone, it doesn't seem I can stop it there either.

Hi:)

Glad to hear you good and busy, myself yeah I'm busy as usual lol.

Have you tried to force close that health app ?

It has been awhile since I tracked a workout on the watch (thanks Covid.) I assume you're manually starting. Have you tried letting the watch detect the workout and thusly stop when the activities cease?

When I track my walks it will start manually (my choice) and it will cease track if I stop for say 20bsecs. When I jog I manually start and manually finish.

If the same result occurs regardless if the workout is detected or manually started I would suggest doing a soft reset and a hard reset if the soft doesn't work. Perhaps it just could be a glitch.

This is how it works on mine :
I start the circuit training manually.
To stop it I press the physical button on top, then press "complete" on screen (or something similar, my watch is using Dutch language), then confirm ending the training on screen.
