I just got my Tab a few hours ago and I love it. I've managed to get all my e-mail adresses working, Twitter, Facebook and G+ accounts running and two home screens laid out how I want them.

That's all well and good, but one of the reasons I wanted a tablet was to watch videos while traveling, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it. Anybody want to lend a helping hand ?

For 720p video the best way to do things is to convert your files using Handbrake. Import the presets from here: [GUIDE] 720p Handbrake preset for TF101 (HC3.1 Update) - xda-developers

If you are really against converting video then give DicePlayer a try: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.inisoft.mediaplayer.dice They've figured out a way to hardware accelerate MKV files with good results.

If you're rooted you can get Netflix and Hulu to work by following the directions here:

Netflix: Netflix now works*** 3.1 - xda-developers

Hulu: xda-developers - View Single Post - Working hulu

You don't need to be rooted to get netflix working if used have the wifi only gt. Google videos app is good to for renting and watching movies. You xda has an apk up can side load and it works well so far. Again as far as I know for wifi gt only.

I use DVD Catalyst 4 to convert DVDs to video - much better than Handbrake in my opinion - of course you get what you pay for generally. Also FYI the new touchwiz Video player is _much_ better than any other video player I have found (and I have tried a bunch).
