watchmaker app - if statement never true!

Help. No matter what I do, this never evaluates to true (watchmaker script)
if (wm_tag("{c" .. i .. "bp}") - {dtp}>0 then

I have compared this character by character to stuff on the Internet, but I cannot see anything wrong. I have displayed both "variables" and visually this evaluates to true depending. But in the script it is never true. What am I doing wrong?

Version of watchmaker on phone: 4.6.2
