I got pushed into the pool today and my Epic was in my pocket!

But that's ok I have the insurance and my phone was bricked since Friday anyway. Never again will I try to use oden, root or load a custom rom.

My record so far...
Tried to load Froyo on my Nook Color... Result Bricked....
Tried to use oden to go back to DI18 Eclair... Result Bricked for 5 days before taking a dive in the pool.

I guess congrats that you can't follow simple instructions? Or read them thoroughly before attempting? Its very simple and isn't rocket science at all. You don't need the SDK, nor knowledge about computers/phones to get them to work. If I were you, I would just get a different phone... like a feature phone or something.

Everyone has been at a point of being unfamiliar with things like this in their Android experience. Comments like this are unnecessary and are not conducive to AC's atmosphere. This is your warning.

First off, I don't really need a different phone. Having the epic doesn't require loading different roms or rooting.

It was not my fault Odin hung up and stopped responding in the middle of it. This has happened to more than one person on these forums. After Odin hung up, I followed all of the instructions. The problem was after the lock up no computer would recognize my epic. I used more than a dozen cords and five different computers. I reloaded drivers, pulled the battery nothing helped. Yes I read all the instructions.

You are an *******.

I'm done here.

Well, I'm pretty sure pulling the battery is where you went wrong. Thats a big NO-NO when updating anything, phones, ps3, computers, literally every single piece of electronic equipment. The Odin instructions also recommend not using the Samsung cable, as that has been the culprit for most people. Willing to bet, you used the crappy cable that came with the phone. Third, I didn't use profane language, I just suggested that Android phones are probably above your capabilities. Lastly, (its my personal opionion, I'm aware of that) this phone DOES need custom ROMs/Kernels to be functional. The battery life is horrible and performance is slow without them. I just don't see the purpose of your original post and I'm sorry for feeding you. (TROLL)

Since it is apparent that a civil discussion cannot take place in this thread, I'm closing it.

For help with unbricking/restoring, please post in this thread. Thanks.
