Water might have killed my Z3

The Z3 is specifically not rated for sea water (I think even saline water).it's actually on the first page about waterproofing (which is in the first few actual pages) Also if you phone is still under warranty, and as long as the ports where all closed when it happened and are all working they should fix it for you under warrenty.

Hope this helps and yes it is a sulky design. If your going to seal something then seal it. Don't give it ports!

In celebration of 200k views on my Z3 Camera Review I decided to do a follow up on its water leakage "issue".
The background story is that the "Waterproof" Z3 can have a problem with water. In the comment section of that video I can see that there are lots of people around the world that have received faulty units.

But even so its definitely more splash proof than most phones/cameras. And I have no problems using the Z3 in a little rain.
To demonstrate made a little test.

I have z3 and black screen, nothing helped me, i try reset with pc but no help. My sony work when i turn it on, but screen is black, camera shoot, i hear sound when i touch screen, vibrations too. Anyone know what should i do and is that some kind of software error or hardware

i've had my Sony Z3 since January. i was told this pone is waterproof as long as all flaps are closed and i'm not in water for more than 30 minutes or 1.5m of water. Well i've used it under water a couple of times and it was fine. Now i'm on vacation in UAE and was taking a video in a pool for 30 seconds, in which i even had my case on the phone.i come out and its fine then all of a sudden i look at the screen and it starts to scribble and shut down!!!!The phone kept buzzing and i tried to turn on to which the phone went completely dead. I now have it in rice in hopes that it will turn back on.....Not happy with Sony!!!False advertising for this phone.....do you have any advice on what to do?I took out the memory card and my SD card?Will my pictures and vides be saved?

i think this case is only water-resistant but not waterproof.
You can use this case in rainy or there are litte water situation.
