Water resistant limits

I took my s7 edge in the pool all the time last year. It would get water under done buttons and act weird for a little bit, then go back to normal once out dried. Also, T-Mobile/ Samsung replaced my gear s three times because it stopped working after getting wet. Not sure if that was warranty or insurance, but I didn't have to pay a deductible, so I kept doing it.
