Water spots under screen

So, been alternating between a bowl/ziploc bag of rice and silica gel packets for last few days and 98% of the water spots are now gone. I'd say there is maybe a TINY amount of water left on the bottom right of the screen, truly only visible if you are viewing a white background. That being said, should I continue to keep in rice/silica gel packets or will this just go away overtime itself?

Thinking I'm better off just keeping my phone when the replacement comes. Reading the forum, seems like they will send me a refurb, and I don't wanna risk getting a junker.
