I am a tad grumpy about all the complaints that since the Pixel XL is a flag ship, that it should have been waterproof. I think people are just looking for reasons to complain, and this one doesn't hold up.

Where are all the complaints about LG's lack of water proofing, where were all the complaints about last year's iPhone's (from iPhone users that is ;) ) lack of water proofing. Don't get me wrong, I like waterproofing, I have had the last three Galaxy devices, and the S7E was the only one that did it right. But it is not a make or break feature for me, I haven't lost a phone to water damage in 10 years.

Yes indeed, some ppl just like to grumble hey... If the device works for you, enjoy it and ignore the naysayers...

The V20 is a flagship without water resistance too. Just because the iPhone 7 series and the Samsung 7 series have water resistance doesn't mean it's a feature that all phones need. The Pixel and V20 aren't known fire hazards, so there is that.
