Way to make BT settings stick?

Does anyone know of a way to make Bluetooth device settings "stick" on the Fascinate, so I don't have to reset them every time I connect with a device?

I have a Moto hands-free device that I use in the car. For reasons that have never been clear to me, it won't reliably stream audio from Google Navigator, Verizon Navigator, or a few other programs. So, every time I want to use navigation, I have to turn off the Media profile and send sound through the phone's speaker, instead of the BT speaker.

I'd love to find a way to make the de-selected media choice stick, so I don't have to toggle this setting off every time I connect.

I've also noticed that even when I have toggled this off, on Google Navigator, sound doesn't go through the phone unless I initiate a phone call (through BT) first.

Thoughts?

You running stock ED04 or are you running a custom rom?
My wife has no BT issues with her fascinate running stock ED04 and I do not running ED01 Debloated.
Therefore no suggestions other then more info for folks to help you. --bill

I've had the problem on several ROMs, custom and stock.

But, I solved it today by buying a newer Moto hands-free device. (My Moto T505 was from around 2008, so it was probably just too outdated to do the job.)

The Roadster TZ700 paired immediately and all audio streamed through it like a champ, very loud and crisp. It even senses when you get in and out of the car and turns on/off automatically.

I just hope it has as good battery life as the previous version -- I could so for a month or more on a single charge.

Now that I can get Google Navigator reliably, I may *finally* dump Verizon Navigator. I like VNAV, but it's not worth $10/month when I can get the same thing for free.
