This is a minor gripe. The situation I've been having is this:
My work computer does not like my Samsung Epic. Basically, I cannot mount via USB to the computer. No problem. I just use dropbox, which I have installed on my work PC and also my Epic. As an example, I might see a wallpaper that I like on the PC, so I download it to my Dropbox folder and then access it on my phone. Simple...
Now, when I go to the Gallery to set my new wallpaper, it simply doesn't show up. In fact, the only way to get it to show up in the Gallery, is to unmount, then remount my SD card. Upon remounting, the media scanner runs and then picks up any new media files. However, directly after downloading a file via Dropbox on my phone, it shows up in Root Explorer, and Astro File Manager. Just never shows up in the gallery unless I go through the aforementioned steps. Is there anyway to run the media scanner manually without having to unmount/remount? Or is there a better app out there for viewing images and setting wallpapers?
