Ways to modify the glossy back?

Hey guys!

I currently have a Droid DNA, but want to go to a smaller device. The Mini seems to be a great smaller handset running close to stock Android (another plus IMAO). The only thing that kinda has me down is the super glossy back cover. Anyone have any thoughts on how to possible strip this and replace with another finish?

Just get something like an incipio feather.

Incipio feather or the Shell/holster combo are both great cases that are very slim.
