I guess it's time I throw the obligatory self-intro post out there.

I've been lurking on there for a few weeks now reading about the various Android phones. I'm currently on AT&T with an iPhone 3G. Their service blows chunks at where I live and where I work. Even though I still have a good 7 months left on my contract, I'm going to dump them for a different carrier.

I was looking at the Droid EVO from Sprint, the DINC, the Droid 2 and the Droid X. So far the front runner for me is the X bc it's on Verizon and I tend to use my smartphones more for multimedia and internet device than I do as a cell phone. I can't wait until the X is out so I can go touch it and play with it.

My Evo Works Great... you might want to look into that before just deciding VZW is the best...

Ur bill might be outrageous taking into account Text Plan Data Plan Voice Plan
GPS Plan Ect ect ect...

Tom - ask your friends who have sprint and verizon how good their service is (or isn't). You want to be careful and not end up with another service that stinks in your area. I know where I live verizon beats att and sprint, but they may not be true where you live.

We had been with Sprint for many years and decided to switch to Verizon on the strength of their advertising campaigns. Long story short...their coverage sucked in our area where we hadn't had a single dropped call with Sprint. Second day with the Verizon Eris, my wife had 2 dropped calls. Needless to say we were disappointed, disgusted and not too happy.

Thank God for the 30 day trial period. We're happily back with Sprint...wife likes her Eris and I love this Evo.
