We might Oreo after all!

During the Honor 9 Lite launch event this image was displayed and it shows the Honor 8 will recieve EMUI 8. All we need to see now is whether the Honor 8 recieves Oreo or a Nougat port of EMUI 8. I doubt Honor will try and base EMUI 8 on Nougat just for the Honor 8 though.

Edit: I know there's an error in the heading but I have no clue on how to change it.

Let's hope you are right. Too many mixed messages. Also just want to point out that they said emui 8 not android 8. Supposedly emui 8 is supposed to be based on Android 8 but the cynic in me thinks that we will get a half measure based on Android 7, similar to what Microsoft did when it promised wp8 and instead gave wp7.8.
