First I like to commend Google, HTC and Sprint for these great updates but I know I am not alone when i say that it would be great to have Google Talk Video Chat on Android. We should all get together and try to contact Google until we have it. Fring was great when it had Skype. Qik is ok but the fact is many of us want to use the video conferencing function from phone to PC. Also that will make Google more dominant and make us the valued customers happy.

Don't get me wrong, I am happy with the phone but the video chat is one of the main reasons that I even bought this phone in the first place and it pisses me off when I can't use that function more often.

i just thought about this yesterday when i activated my Qik app, and then quickly downloaded Ustream b/c of its better live-streaming capabilities.

the chat feature--YES! google talk video chat would be a great addition--as most of the people i know HAVE google chat accounts

i never got to try Skype. sadness.

Does anyone know how we can get in contact with Google so we can collectively voice our frustration about our lack of Google Talk video chat, so they can hopefully speed up the process?

Everybody should go in the market and search for Google INC. There you will find updates to the built-in Google Apps. Then email the developers requesting video chat via Google talk.

Also you can go on the nexus one site, HTC, sprint and email them.

Thought you guys might find this interesting (it was news to me). I just got out of a meeting with a Google regional manager, and he was surprised I didn't have a video chat on my phone.

He showed me his app (which worked fine), then he realized that only Google employees have it. They have their own marketplace called "Bazaar" that has the app in it.

When asked when that was going to be public, he smiled reminded me I don't have an NDA. I also joked that he should send me the .apk but he didn't bite.

But hopefully that means it's coming soon to the rest of us peons.

Wow this is really interesting.... I wanna go work at Google now

I can't believe Skype quit supporting us Android users. I am away from my computer a lot and not being able to use skype on my phone sucks. Every one I know uses Skype so switching from Skype is not an option. :(

Yes so u know, download Tango fr the market is the better video chat right now imo

over on the XDA forums search for the leaked yahoo messenger application. Users say the interface is better than qik/tango/whatever for video chat.
