Weather Widget issue

Alright so I have the Eye in the Sky app and I've been using the widget perfectly fine for the past 2-3 months until this morning when I found that the widget had disappeared. Normally if I see nothing in it's spot, there would still be a refresh button there for the widget itself but there wasn't. So I figured I could just put it back and I tried to do that BUT when I pressed on the ok button, the widget would not be there. I've tried it with the other sizes of the widget and I've also tried it with the 1Weather app widgets. They just don't show up. Anyone know wtf is up with that? I don't want to have to factory reset this thing again..

UPDATE:
It seems as though this isn't limited to just the weather widget as I can't add my power toggles widget onto my homescreen either. Yes, I have tried restarted the phone as well. I did manage to find a weather widget that would actually show up and it was the android weather & clock widget. I would still like to understand why I can't get 1Weather, Eye in the Sky, AND Power Toggle widgets onto my home screen...

Can you take a screen shot of the home screen and post it here? That might help us understand your problem.

Additionally, have you tried put these widget on a different screen?

The weather widget at the top is where eye in the sky used to be.

There is no image here... I can not see it. I get the following message: Invalid Attachment specified.

I have tried putting the widgets in the other screens which I keep completely empty.

And what??? Are you getting the widget to display? Are you getting an error?

I don't want to assume anything... but I usually find my widget by going to the widget screen, long press on the widget and put it on one of the screens I have an opening on. Is this what you are doing to put a widget on your screen?

Well my screen is a regular ol' screen. Sorry about the image, it opens up for me.

Anyway, I do exactly what you're supposed to do to put widgets on the screen. Apparently, I'm not the only one with this issue. A few of my friends with the verizon S4 are running into the same exact problem with the widgets. We're thinking it may be a bug in Android 4.2.2

A regular ol' screen... using what launcher??? I prefer using Nova... others like the stock launcher... others use other launchers... I hate to assume too many things.

Sorry, but I can not see the screen image you posted... and to say it's a bug is interesting since I have not heard of it before on this site. If you and your friends are teaching each other how to do things and all are doing the same thing... just maybe you might want to think might be issue with your group.

I've attached an image of my current home screen... it has NO link to the image... it just shows up on the post when I use the "Go Advanced" button while posting, then use the "Manage Attachments" button below the thread box. WeatherBug works just fine on my screen. I can add all kinds of weather apps to any of my screens.

Additionally, did you try clearing everything off your home screen... long press all your apps or widgets and drag them off to the top to remove them, then try adding your widget. It might be possible that something (probably a widget) is larger than it appears on the screen and that is why you can not put your weather widget on that screen... just a thought.

I didn't realize there was so much water and so many grass huts in St. Paul. ;) (Sorry to be OT, but the combination of your tropical-themed wallpaper and weather info. location seemed to call out for comment.)

I'm using the stock launcher. It's not an issue with the group considering the things that we're all doing to our phone are what other Galaxy S4 users have told us to do.

I have tried adding widgets to my other screens and they don't show up either (not even beautiful widgets). So let's try this screenshot again:

I do have a weather widget up now but this was the only one that worked to stay up.

I'm stock all the way. No other launchers or weather apps.
But I've tried other weather apps in the past and never had that problem.:what:

Have you tried installing the app on an empty screen?

I have. I'm thinking it might just be another app messing with specific widgets. I could give a list of apps I installed after the first factory reset that I did... I did a factory reset the first time this happened but I don't want to resort to doing that again.

To me this looks like a space issue with your main screen... you only have room enough for a fairly small widget, in this case where you have the current weather widget it is 1 high by 4 wide. The battery widget looks like it is 1 high by 2 wide, but it could be 4 wide... without touching your screen an looking to resize the widget I would not know for sure. Some weather widget's I've used in the past need more room to put their widget's on your screen.

By the way, congratulations on putting up an screen shot that we can all see.

The thing though is, like I stated before, I've tried putting the widgets on the other screens and they just wouldn't pop up. I just checked the dimensions of the GSam widget and it is 1 high by 2 wide. And thanks, the first time I put the screenshot up I used the "attach image" thing instead of manage attachments.smfh This isn't that big of an issue just because I really don't download apps onto my phone that much as you can see from the listed apps below. But I'd still like to solve the issue just so that in the future, I could really start putting widgets up.

Anyway, here's a list of the apps that I downloaded and installed:
Adobe Reader
Andie Graph
Android Weather (the only weather widget that has worked)
AutomateIt (installed this after this whole widget shenanigans occurred)
BatteryGuru (could be responsible for the issue?)
CPU-Z
DaTuner Lite
Dropbox
GSam Battery Monitor
Minuum (I just installed this a few days ago)
MX Player
Phone Info
Power Toggles (just a toggles widget which I can't put on the screen)
Translate
Wakelock Detector
Zedge.
