I like the Samsung clock and weather widget on the lockscreen much better than the one in the widgets list for the homescreen. Is there a clock weather widget that looks just like the sammy lockscreen widget that doesn't ask for a ridiculous number of permissions in the playstore?

I used Beweather until yesterday but it seems to have died. Nothing I do will refresh it. Keeps giving xml error or java error. Too bad. It was a great app.

Thanks

You can get that same widget on your homescreen if you use TouchWiz. But if you use a 3rd party launcher, it becomes unavailable.

I tried in touchwiz but it isn't transparent like homescreen. Thanks though.

Are you sure? Mine is transparent on the home screen as well

So is mine. I was really confused when using Nova launcher and I couldn't get the weather to show up on the lockscreen. I went back to TouchWiz and it now works!

In touch wiz my lock screen weather widget is transparent and my home screen weather widget is opaque. It has a blue background

Anyway....is there another weather widget you would recommend. Amber doesn't update location fast enough. Lots of bad reviews on beautiful widgets. I like it to really be prompt. I don't care if it eats my battery but I do not want temperature 20 miles and 40 minutes ago. I want it at the right location and updating every 15 minutes ideally...and pretty widget too!

You may wish to try going into the weather widget settings and set the Opacity to 0%. Or if it is at Opacity 0% set it to something else, click Done, open the widget settings again and reset Opacity to 0%.

Since I prefer Nova anyway I am looking for an alternative. It may be Amber. I found it eventually does catch up with my location. It justs takes longer. Looks like it only checks once an hour. Beweather seems to always keep up with location somehow.
