Photo of the 723 years old University of Coimbra, Portugal. The featured tower,is the clock tower. The clock has been called The B*tch (In portuguese "A Cabra") for centuries, by the university students because it sounded to warn students of class hours. Got to love the school spirit.
The university is considered world heritage by UNESCO as it is one of the most ancient universities still currently opened. It is 400 years older than Harvard. For a portuguese student like me it represents portuguese student culture and life style, it represents who we are.

Went to visit the BC Hydro W.A.C. Bennett Dam near Hudson's Hope, BC, Canada. We took the kids to show them where our power comes from and to learn more about the dam.

Back to school x2, new term + graduate school after 6 years of working. Supplies are a lot different now, I get most of my work done on my WiFi Xoom, Dropbox, Evernote and e-textbooks via Kindle. A capacitive pen and maybe paper as a backup. Definitely LOTS of coffee - some things are exactly the same.

I grew up surfing on the West Coast and back to school meant not as much water time. Living on the East Coast, back to school means getting ready for the final surge of the year of work. My job won't slow down until the holidays, so the rest of 2013 is really is full on until then. This photo, to me, represents the calm before the storm of 'back to school.' I took this photo of the Hudson River at sunset with Google Glass running Android XE8. This photo is unedited and not manipulated in any way. Straight shot from Pier 25 in Lower Manhattan via Glass.
