Weekly Photo Contest: Focus and Blur

I was originally going to use the brand new Google Camera app for this entry, but out of the ~30 pictures I've taken with it in blur mode, not a single one has turned out well. Instead I picked one of my older photos (still taken with my Nexus 4 - I believe I was using 4.2 and the old stock camera app) and used After Focus with it. As I don't own the pro versions of this app, I'm afraid to say it's knocked the resolution of the image down a lot, but I couldn't find any good free alternatives. After that, I then used an app simply called Photo Editor to get the blur looking how I wanted it to and do some colour adjustments. Apologies if you're sick of flowers after last week's competition...

Edit: Having used the "Lens Blur" mode some more, in better lighting conditions, it's produced some surprisingly good results (although still not perfect).

Taken with my HTC One M8 with ufocus, no filter, in what is called "Spring" in Minnesota. Mother Nature has a really bad sense of humor.
