Fall leaves coming down. Taken with a Motorola Droid Turbo.

Whether functional, decorative or a little bit of both, there's always some beauty to be found in foliage around us. That's why we're making this week's photo contest focus on "trees," hoping to see the best tree pictures you can produce in the week ahead.

Two winners this week will receive an iStabilizer Flex tripod with a smartphone mount — the perfect accessory for future smartphone photo sessions.

Entering is easy. Just drop your entry in a post below. Tell us what Android you used to get the picture, and any back story you want to add to it. We'll pick a winner Tuesday (November 11) night at 11:59 PM ET, and announce them on the blog with next Wednesday's contest.

  • Pictures must be taken with an Android device
  • Pictures must be uploaded to the contest thread. I'm not running all over the Internet to track them down.
  • You have to tell us what device you used to take the picture, and any special software you might have used. Editing your pictures is fine — this is art.
  • Feel free to add a little back story — we want to know how the picture came to be.
  • You must have used a valid email address to register here at AC, so I know how to contact the winner.
  • Only one entry per week per person.

Good luck, everyone!

Was hiking through the trails in hills of Walnut Creek, CA, when all of a sudden I was engulfed by trees. I took a photosphere using my Nexus 4, and used the "Tiny Planet" mode. Edited using Snapseed to boost shadows and increase contrast.

Took this while at the campgrounds at Disney World. We were packing up and I just wanted to capture how pretty the area was.

I used my Galaxy S4 with Google's Camera app to capture the picture. I made a couple minor adjustments in Google+.

Galaxy Note 3 and tweaked in Instagram. Not sure which filter. I pass this building daily on my walks and on this day the sun hit just right with the fall colors. Tysons Corner, VA.

Fall in Tennessee. Field trip with my son's class to the Cheekwood Botanical Gardens in Nashville.

Taken with GS4 HDR mode, tweaked just a little with Snapseed.

Snapped with a Nexus 5 with HDR+ enabled and slight adjustments made in the gallery application(mainly adjustments to curves).

So I visited the Wagha Border(between Pakistan and India) recently and before heading into the ceremony I managed to snap an image of the sun peeking out from a tree.

I later realised that there was a dog in the image as well. :D

(Extremely sorry for the slightly longer post than usual).

Taken on galaxy note 3 using an hdr camera app. Went walking one morning and it was foggy got some really cool shots but this one was my favorite.

Had to have this tree removed unfortunately. Took this with my Note 3 towards the end of the process. If you look close, you can see the Arborist up at the top.
