Hello everyone
So i have a phone named OALE p1, its from a local brand. I bought it around a year ago, it runs android oreo and has a 2500mah battery
However 3 weeks ago my battery would go from 60-0% in 2 mins, and now if i charge it i only get around 5 minutes of use, but now lets say i have 100% batter, it dies after 5 mins, it wont start again, but once i plug it back in, the battery is reading 99%, Also my charger usually gets pretty hot while charging, but now it just gets slightly warm. I have tried multiple chargers and cables. Its as if the phone takes in a little bit of charge and then stops, but the battery indicator keeps on going up, and stays there even if the battery dies. I have tried factory resetting and clibrating it, but no luck. The back cover is removeable, the battery is visible and not removeable, The battery is only slightly inflated on the left side. But this doesnt explain why the phone was working perfectly fine a month ago. Pretty much the only new phone i can afford as of now is an alcatel 1, would rather buy something better

And in the future stop killing your battery. If you can't recharge it when it gets down to 40%, turn it off. Constantly draining it to 0% kills it. Lithium batteries are not deep-discharge batteries.

You can get a refurbished 1st gen Pixel for $80 on woot.com: electronics.woot.com/offers/google-pixel-vzw-unlockedsd-1?ref=w_cnt_wp_5_18

Or the XL for $100: electronics.woot.com/offers/google-pixel-xl-factory-unlockedsd-6?ref=w_cnt_wp_5_17

I got my parents a refurbished Pixel about a year ago, and it continues to work well. Still getting monthly updates, of course!

EDIT: Sorry, I just realized the 1st gen Pixel's last official month of getting security updates was October.:-\ Still, it's had a significantly better track record than any other flagship of its generation.

Dailysteals.com has some decent deals as well, like this refurbished Moto G4 for $60: www.dailysteals.com/collections/buy-mobile-phones/products/motorola-moto-g4-16gbunlocked-gsm-4g-lte-octa-core-phone-black

It'll be hard to find a new phone that's both good and in the $80 range, though. You'd be looking primarily at underpowered budget devices with little to no support. Maybe an Android Go device, or possibly one of the cheapest Nokia phones?
