Weird battery problem

Ok, so I have owned my Note 2 for about a year and a half and the battery has been fine. For the past 6 months the battery has been draining quicker and quicker. When I let it die and plug it in, 10 seconds later the phone shows that it is charged 75%! Anybody else having this issue?

Sounds like the battery is failing and not holding a proper charge anymore. So I'd try a new battery first and see if that fixes the issue.

Looks like Samsung still has them: Galaxy Note ™ II Standard Battery (3100mA)

Or may be a local store such as Best Buy? Doubt a local Verizon store would have them anymore (they usually limit stock of older items).
