Weird camera interaction with Bank app after update.

Overall, very happy with the the camera since the update... seems better, especially low light shots.

I did have my first issue with it today, but not sure if its the camera or my Bank of America app. When I first got the Maxx, I was surprised that I didn't get a Freeze-frame image of the checks I deposited. Its like the camera stayed live, even after the shot was taken. But it worked a LOT better than my Bionic, so I didn't care.

After the update, I saw the saved picture appeared again, so I though the camera update fixed that problem, and the images looked GREAT But whats happening now is the the image of the checks appear outside the window in the app after the shots are taken, even though the check is clearly inside the guidelines when I take the shot. I get a message form the app saying the check was not inside the guidelines. I have to take the picture from lot further away and guess as to its position in order to get the app to accept it. THEN it says it can't read the check or lighting is too low, even though the picture looks great.

I now have to take the shots from a large distance under very bright light to get the pics to work. It is now actually works a lot worse than the Bionic did, and that is saying something.

Anyone else having this issue with the BOA app?

I am having a problem with taking pics of large checks. Even though the pic looks clear and in focus, it keeps saying the pic needs to be retaken after trying a million times. And after taking a picture, there is no preview of it. I just press the "use it icon" and it takes me to the confirmation page. I then take a picture of a regular sized check and there are no problems. So it seems my problem is different from yours, but problematic.

I've also experienced a similar issue with the BofA app. My guess is there's something fishy about how the app access the camera as no other camera-utilizing app has this problem. I know it's always easier to point the finger at the app developer, but in this case I think it's fair.

I've had similar issues with the PNC app. No matter how many times I try, the app just won't accept the picture of the check. This didn't happen with my Nexus 4

Its the BofA app. I have not been able to use it at all since I got my Maxx. The app stops working as soon as I try to take a picture of the check. I have spoken with BofA and the rep said the issue was being sent to a higher level of tech support but I have not heard back from anyone. I hope they didn't forget me. I think someone needs a reminder message.

I have the TD Bank app and check photo deposit was working pre-update. I have not tried it since, though.

Mine is doing the same exact thing after update as before. I am trying to contact BofA again.
