Verizon Galaxy S8 Weird highlight when I text

Out of the blue, my phone started doing this weird thing when I text. It highlights a word, say bus, hotel, or princess. You then cannot change the word. But if you tap on the highlighted word, you get a picture of e.g. a bus. Anyone know how I turn this wacky thing off? I have deleted my keybaord preferences, rebooted, but it still happens.

I don’t actually know. Whatever came with the phone. Texts have a red icon with Message+ on it. As you can tell, I am not the most sophisticated user.

PS It is the Samsung keyboard 2.0.21.80.

In settings of message plus uncheck enable smart emoji.that should do it.

Sorry, I should have been be a little more specific. When you open the message plus app, on the upper left corner is 3 lines. Tap them to get the settings area. Then look for the smart emoji option and uncheck.

Thanks. I tried to do that, but when I tap on the three buttons, there is no settings option. There is customization, and it has an emoji piece, but you cannot disable it apparently.

I take that back. I used the wrong three buttons. Got it fixed. THANKS!!
