Weird Issues after Froyo update?

I had my phone rooted with leaked DL30, Midnight 1.0 theme, and DJ05 Kernel. Everything was working great. I think my phone did the update today, which I didn't think it would do because of me already having Froyo. The phone restarted, my desktop picture was changed to the Midnight default and a few of my apps were no longer showing on my desktop.

None of the Verizon bloatware was installed.
I can not access the settings. When I click on the settings button, it highlights and then does nothing.
When I try to send a text message it fails.
My camera works (people in the update problems thread says it doesn't work for them)
Google is still my search.
Google maps works.

EDIT 2: I also can not add a shortcut to my desktop. When I try, launcher force closes. I tried on all 3 (ADW, LP, TW). Same results.

I was using my current setup for over 2 months with no issues.

Any ideas how I can at least get into the settings to see what was updated (if anything).

EDIT1...

After reboot, text messages work. Other issues are still there.

Thanks

I was thinking of doing an Odin update but will probably just do the latest super clean. I do not really want the VZW update.

There isn't a way you would have gotten the update being on a non-stock setup like that... And even if you did receive the update, your theme would be gone, and you would have all the bloat added in. Something else is at play here...

+1. Your rom or theme appear to have run into troubles. Not to speculate, but the symptoms remind me of something viral. Either way, ED01 is certainly not to blame.

Thank you. I didn't think I would get the update. That is a good suggestion about the virus. I will check that out.

Hmmm. AVG didn't find anything except Superuser. Is there another way to get into phone settings besides the settings button?
