Weird Sleep Screen

I am occasionally getting a weird "sleep" screen on my verizon note 3.

The screen is mostly dark, with a weird light near the top of the screen with my notifications and the time displayed. Any idea what this is?

It's called "Air View" it gives you notifications if you waive your hand over the idle screen.
This is a normal function

When you put your hand over the phone it brings up that screen so you can check your notifications, phone status, etc. without actually picking up the phone or pressing any buttons.
