Weirdest Problem, Airave, WIFI, my office

Hello folks,

Hope everyone is well.

I have the weirdest problem that I have been able to replicate over and over.

First off, at my office I get no Sprint signal, so I have an airave (the original). Also, my company has wifi setup here. I used to connect to the wifi it with my old Samsung Epic, and receive and call through the Airave. everything worked properly!

Now, with the Gs3, I can make and receive calls through the Airave fine, but when I turn on the wifi, All incoming calls go straight to voicemail, but i can still make outgoing calls.

Furthermore, connecting the wifi does nothing, because I get absolutely no data through it, even though all my other devices work on the wifi.

Im stumped, please help.

This might be dumb question but are you sure your Airave is connected to the Internet? Follow the directions to connect it and also check all the connections and cables.

Ya, it's fine, read the post again. Internet is working and airave is connected to it.

Ugh, hard reset, there's got to be an easier way. Can I back everything up? So I don't have reinstall all my apps and redo all my home screens

I am assuming you are not rooted... My Backup will backup all of your apps but won't save the app data, unless you are rooted. So you will have to re-setup accounts with log in or passwords. You will also lose things such as saved games. If rooted you could save it all.

I am not promising a hard reset will even fix your issues. I just remembered others that had simular issues and looked for the thread. Good luck....

Yes. You will lose the ability to recieve update via ota. But it's not hard to unroot accept the ota and then root again.

There will also most likely be a stock flashable rom with the update applied.

If you want to root, worrying about updates shouldn't stop you as it really isn't an issue.

However, getting the update notifications CONSTANTLY is very much an issue.

If you let it try to update and it fails the update notice won't come back. If you refuse the update then the notification continues to come back.
