well...I did it....I must say the device is darn good...interface is different than the Palm Pre Plus...but 4G LTE is the bomb!!! It is blazing fast...will keep you updated!!!

My only complaint is the voice dialer...not very good, but I fixed it by downloading the Cyberon voice speed dial app off the market...worth the $2.99....and Opera mini works great too

Congrats. I've had a great experience with my Bolt; no reboots, relatively good battery life (easily lasts all day on stock battery), and none of the other issues that some people have had to endure. I'm VERY happy with this phone.

give it a month, it will be very obvious that this phone sucks.

I am a recent adopter of this phone and I have not had one reboot, bluetooth or any other problem out of it. Not even a battery issue. Must be your device.

It amazes me that people that don't like a certain phone will still follow every thread on it. If I did not like something I would move on and not look back. My Thunderbolt has been great, I love this phone.

The first order of business for you is to ignore the hyperbolic threads posted by those who have had issues. Most of us have few, if any issues, and are very happy. If it turns out that you are one of the unlucky ones who are having reboot issues or horrible battery life, you can hopefully find a reasonable, measured discussion regarding how best to handle it (usually by just returning it for a new one).

Oh, and don't install any updates until you check here first to make sure it is OK! :0)

I was regularly switching between an iPhone 4 and the Thunderbolt because I am a huge Apple fan. For the last 30 days I have not bothered with the iPhone. My Thunderbolt works perfectly and the 4G (which we just got in my city last week) is way fast.

This is my third Android phone. Actually, third HTC android phone. The other two were great beyond belief. My Incredible never lagged, never re-booted, never had GPS issues, etc. My (only my third TB) TB does all of that everyday. I wish I could go back to it, but I sold it :(, thinking HTC is solid, this will just be a bigger Incredible, right?

The reason you see so many "haters" pop up is because this phone has issues. It's not because we lurk on the TB forum just to complain to strangers on the internet. I browse here hoping to find a fix or the small chance of hearing about a REAL update to fix this thing.

Just saying, if you do start to experience any of the well documented issues with this phone, return it while you can and wait for fixes or a better phone.

Not sure if this phone sh!ts gold for some people, but it's just a phone. I'm not attacking your grandmother. Relax please.

When you merely state "that it sucks" you're not giving the OP any credible information on your opinion and therefore look like a troll.

There are issues, just like any other phone. But the Thunderbolt is a great phone and the community is very helpful with answering questions. Just make sure to read the forums first, odds are your question was asked before.

The point is that for most of us, the phone does NOT have issues, it is perfectly fine and trouble-free. The minority with the issues are very vocal about it (and rightly so), so it makes it seem as if that is the norm.

I do not have 4G in my area(Sharon Farrell PA) but I have had some difficulties and some reboots(not a problem unless it happens mid call) but I have been in Pittsburgh and Erie with 4G and MAN OH MAN!! Fast as all get out. One of my major problems is with The Weather Channel ap, when I try to get the maps, the app force closes and that is about it. I can say that I somehow removed Facebook for HTC Sense and have no idea how to get it back but it still is a great phone. Recently got a LG Revolution for my son and he loves going on car rides now that he can have Netflix but to me that is something of a possible problem since I would want to watch shows instead of be productive at work. Overall I love this phone.
