HELP.
So my other crappy VM android broke. I bought the Intercept on Ebay and it worked just fine, but was laggy and slow and I hated it. So I unlocked it, which went just fine. I then installed a kernel through my phone like an idiot because some android website said I could.
Well my phone is ****ed.
I can open recovery mode, and download mode, but I have no clue how to fix this.
I deleted the cache, the davik cache and the data, because another website said to. I realize this was stupid but at this point I just really want to fix this phone. :(
If someone knows what to do that would be great.
Thanks in advanced.

No I don't.
I can get it to run on Sprint Intercept programming, but then my service is horrible (I suspect it's because sprint knows something's up?) although I can occasionally send and receive texts. So I found another ROM for virgin, and now it turns on and the virgin logo thing turns on and then it gets stuck. Im guessing it's in boot mode? It's just a lit black screen.

It cannot be turned off from this screen unless I take out the battery and I can no longer enter recovery mode.
I downloaded Odin to try to fix this before, but none of the files I found worked they all made Odin crash.
Without recovery mode I'm at a loss.
Now what?

Do you have anything? Emergency mode, download mode? Any menu or prompt. Does your computer recognize the phone when its connected?

And youre sure you can;t get recovery mode? Press the volume down and hold the call button and the end button all at same time for about 3-5 seconds while the phone is off. Also, is it supposed to be a sprint phone or virgin?

I can get to recovery mode but it doesn't have the full set of options. I can only reboot system, apply sdcard:update.zip which doesn't do anything, and wipe the data or cache partition.
It's supposed to be a Virgin Mobile phone.
I can't seem to get into download mode for some reason? I'm not sure.

And I don't have access to a cord to connect my phone right now, although if need be I can get one. I do have an SD card reader, and I can put files on there. That was how I got my phone to work before on sprint programming, but I didnt have service so I tried to apply a different file I found and now it's even worse.
I just want a working phone again. :(

You have the update.zip option? Go here:

[RECOVERY] Flashable ClockworkMod 3.2.0.1 and TWRP 2.1.1 zips to EMMC [4-21-12] - xda-developers

Get the first file clockworkmod as recovery. After you get it on your computer, change the filename to update.zip. Then use the update.zip option to install it in your recovery. This should HOPEFULLY install a full and uppdated version of recovery on the phone that will allow you to flash a correct rom for the phone. This is not a recommended way to do this, but if you wanna fix the phone without a cord or a working recovery, this is about your only option at the moment.

Awesome. Will this fix the phone and make it usable? Or do I have to add another ROM... If so do you have a link to one and instructions on how to do it?
Thanks

Edit:I tried this and my phone doesn't recognize the update? I have a cord, so using that what do I do?

I am thinking that there is a way to get the baseband back to normal. I'm going to keep looking around and ill see what I can find

Finally got some time to really dig into it and found the answer if you're still trying to figure out how to fix it. It is possible to change the baseband back
