To make matters worse I read today they're not even going for an Ultrasonic FPS. They're going for the 1st gen poorer optical FPS to keep the cost down.

This sounds all sorts of bad and almost like a downgrade. No wireless charging? No better IP rating? No stereo speakers??? At the cost of losing Jack and the perfectly fine and capable FPS on the back, I feel like this thing could be a major whiff. If they don't have band 71 in this thing, I definitely won't even think about considering it any longer.

Remains to be seen. Supposedly there are OP 'approved' protectors that will work with the in screen FPS.

As someone who uses Bluetooth headphones, wired headphones ate still better in several ways.

BT still lacks compared to wired headphone. Also, I don't want to worry about charging the BT.
