Yesterday bought the new Mate 9 from B&H. This is Huawei's Flagship and I cannot wait to get it and compare to the Honor 8. From looking through the users guide it appears that EMUI has a lot of new neat features and Apps. Take a look.

Got the phone this evening -- unboxed and set it up. It is fantastic. It will take some time to figure out all the features of the software. it is super fast and the quality is great. If I was going to chose between the Honor 8 and the Mate 9 I would have to go with the Mate.

I'm seriously thinking about getting the Mate 9 too but not getting rid of my honor 8. The mate 9 would be my second phone as the honor 8 is just so much easier to use as a daily phone. I'm pretty sure I'll be getting the Mate though bc I've not been able to shake it from my mind. Just a matter of time now. How's the resolution on it having a 5.9 inch screen? I've definitely read some good things about it. Congrats on getting yours.

I am sure the resolution is fine for most people, assuming that you don't care about vr. My old ZTE zmax pro was 6" fhd and it was fine

I'm with you - I'd go with the Mate 9 if I wanted to get a great phablet device! When do you think you'll pull the trigger?
