No lagging, no reboots, keyboard is awesome, and very user friendly. Battery is slighty improved even with running facebook app and weather widgets. Glad to be on the dark side!!!!

You could do the 2 part install to get to GB .596 (rooted) and then install the rom through ClockWorkRecovery. I've made a step by step video on how to get to rooted Gingerbread (from any state) here Part 1 of 2: Step by step Guide on How to Install Gingerbread .596 (Rooted) on Droid X - YouTube. I have not gotten the chance to make one about Clockwork Recovery yet, but if you can get rooted GB on your phone, that would be a huge step in the right direction. Just make sure you follow the directions to the letter and you should be good. Let me know if it helped please. I'm trying to get the word out about my videos hoping that it will help the many new people asking questionsWhat process did you use to make that happen. I've been wanting to root myself.
Great video. Two questions before I give it a try. 1 Can you delete the update.zip files from your sd card once they are installed since they are kinda large or should they remain on the card? 2 What is the advantage to installing the detoxed file?
