Went from Verizon to Xfinity Mobile

Hi! Well on Verizon I could not update after sideloading the update myself. Now that I brought the phone to Xfinity Mobile, an update came up. I went for it and now it's finally totally updated. I hate how Verizon limits you.

You side-loaded an official update to the Verizon Note 9, then it wouldn't get any released OTA updates since that side-loaded update. Then you switched to Xfinity and an OTA came through?

I mean it's likely sideloading instead of OTA messed something up with getting the next OTA.

Yes it did with Verizon but not Xfinity.

Which is strange unless there was something different abut the update, because sideloading or OTA is exactly the same to the phone - they're just different ways of getting the file onto the phone.
