How do I disable the lock screen!?

I have the same problem. I want to have the sdcard encrypted and I need a password. I screens locks immediately, it doesn't wait for that time ( I choose 30 min).
Clear credentials under Security is disabled (grayed out).
I'am using 4.4.2 on S4.

Does any one solve this problem somehow?

Go to Settings, Moore, Security, go down to the bottom of that screen and hit Clear Credentials.

A program which was downloaded or installed on your phone after you purchased it installed some type of credentials which prevented you from being able to remove your PIN or pattern.

I had the same problem and struggled with it for several months. I followed standard Samsung procedures and published YouTube videos to remove my screen lock and go back to a swype but had no luck. The options which for supposed to be highlighted including the None option we're not highlighted but once I cleared the credentials, the None option was highlighted and I was able to remove the Screen Lock.

It is so nice to be able to access my phone and not have to enter that "darn" pin every single time ☺

OH MY GOSH YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER THANK YOU. I installed a temporary pin on my phone when charging it at work in a public place and I could not for the life of me find out how to remove the stupid lock. I searched other forms and no one had any useful advice aside from installing an app that would work until you rebooted the phone. Thank you thank you thank you.

Yeah, if you have the word ; NONE !
You've posted in the HTC One M8 subforum and now this thread in the HTC One M7 subforum. Both of those phones are at least 12 years old, so any advice given for such an ancient phone and Android version most likely won't apply to modern phones (and I'm assuming you actually aren't using one of these dinosaurs as your main phone right now). What you should do is create a new thread in a more appropriate subforum (e.g., Ask A Question, General Help, or whichever subforum corresponds to your specific device) and make sure to tell us exactly which device you have.
