I have used various "wet install" screen protectors for many different phones (BB, Droid2, etc.) throughout the years and have never had a problem...until now.
In this case it was a Bodyguardz protector (in fact it was the second). I had taken off the first because of a piece of lint that was caught under the protector, drove me nuts. Anyway, installed a new one (Bodyguardz sends 2 with every purchase). After the install I waited the suggest period and when I turned the phone on it blinked and the screen went blank. Turns out that the application fluid seeped in the crack between the screen and body. The phone is toast, thankfully I have the Verizon insurance....nevertheless it has changed my opinion of the "wet install" type protectors. Like I said, I have used many and have been a big fan but always wondered if having that much liquid on your screen was a good idea....guess it's not LOL.
Not trying to convince anyone of anything here, just passing on an experience. A week ago you could not convince me that the product wasn't safe.
And certainly not a knock on Bodyguardz, I just ordered their dry install screen protectors.
