Hi Alex, I upgraded from the M8 - lost the HTC Music app - I know I can use Google Play or a host of d/l apps but I loved the native Music app - any way to get it back on the HTC 10?

Cheers, Saltpan.

Hi Saltpan,

i had the same issue. i downloaded "Music Folder Player". a very nice app to listen to your music

Hi guys,

I ended up d/l Blakplayer - it seems very similar to the old Music app - and I like the equalizer more than Google Play. Sounds better with little fiddling.

On Mobiwatch.net, the reviewer stated his HTC 10 came not with a USB 3.1 Type-C cable, but rather a 2.0 cable because (and he contacted HTC about this) they felt a 3.1 cable would distort the screen somehow. Can you confirm what type of cable came with your review unit, whether or not you've heard anything about this issue, and possibly test with a 3.1 cable to be sure?

So you got answer to this? I got my HTC 10 yesterday so I'm trying to transfer data and there is an option to turn on USB 3.1 transfer speed but when I try that I get error saying either cable is not usb 3.1 or connected device(computer).. My Macbook Air have USB 3.0 so it should work but I think its Cable. I've nexus 6p cable but can't use that with this one . I'm also curious to know about this and how to enable full potential of my phone

Hi,
Is there any way to stop the screen changing to a Google search (or whatever it is) when long-pressing the fingerprint button? It's really annoying.

Absolutely loving the phone though. Having had the One S a few years and then gone to Samsung for the S4 I couldn't wait to get back to HTC and it's not letting me down!

Re: We've got the HTC 10 — and we're answering your questions right here!

Hello guys i just got my HTC 10 today. I am having a problem with it. Seems like the home button is not working and on the settings menu I cannot find the Fingerprint scanner. I bought the device unlocked in the HTC store. Need quick answer thank you.

I noticed that the orange(amber?) led light that indicates it's charging was bothersome while I was trying to watch a video. I cannot figure out how to disable it, if it can be... Also, for some reason, I am not getting facebook or words with friends notifications I've tried enabling all the permissions and messing with the app settings with no success. No facebook notifications is actually refreshing, but I'm still bothered I can't get them to work...

I just got the HTC 10 yesterday and noticed something right away that is driving me crazy mad. When the phone is vertical and not rotated, I can not select any of the top buttons in any app without the notification bar dropping down.

For example, if I am using the internet browser, I can not select the top white address bar to enter as web address without the phones notification bar jumping down and covering it up.

Also, unlike the HTC One MAX that I am just coming out of, there is NO touch screen calibration for the HTC 10.

Everything is up-to-date including HTC sense.

Have you experienced anything similar and/or is there as fix for this?

Actually I don't have this problem at all, but I'm from the EU and I have an older software version so...

Re: We've got the HTC 10 — and we're answering your questions right here!

Verge review is out (surprisingly early) and they said camera app is very slow to launch. Is it really slow to capture a pic and is very noticeable? For eg comparing with 6P and S7, S7 is super fast to capture a pic but 6P is slow in my opinion. How does it compare in terms of taking a quick picture?

Thanks :)

There is an update coming/or came

CAMERA USE MAKES IT HOT!
Is there an update or some information as to how hot the HTC 10 gets when mild use of the camera occurs?? I love the classy look and feel of the phone. Just worried about how hot it gets.

Thank you!

Why is the LED light so bright. Its about 20x brighter than the M8. I can make shadows on the ceiling of my bedroom. It is really annoying.
Also, the auto dimming feature was not working, so I had to add an app. The M8 worked fine.

My LED ain't that bright, but I usually leave my scrunchie on it overnight anyway. As for the brightness, do you have Adaptive Brightness turned on in the display settings?

Re: We've got the HTC 10 — and we're answering your questions right here!

Does the HTC 10 slow down after some time? What about the screen viewing angles? Are they a turn off for someone who doesn't use their phone outdoors?

I've noticed a few slowdowns at times, mostly when gaming, but I clear out my recent apps and it goes back to normal. Viewing angles are fine for me, outside and inside, high noon or pitch darkness.

Slow charge issue.

Hi guys, I have a slow charge issue. I accidentally left the phone under the sun for half an hour in a tank bag while riding on a motorcycle. After that a little bit of a slow charge issue started. The phone charges to a certain percentage, say %85, and stays there for 10-15 minutes without even getting a %1 increase in the battery level. I can't figure out what's going on. Can this problem be related to the occasion I left it under the sun. Because afterwards, there was a red exclamation mark flashing inside the battery logo on the top right corner and the phone was really hot which got colder after some time that I shut it off. Thanks for any insight you night provide.
