What a disaster!

people that add another line for $9.99 are not right, if you do the math you pay more for the device.

$9.99 + $29.99 * 24 = $960 +about 15% in taxs about $1100 over 2 yrs...

Remind me to never move to your state. 15% tax! I thought it was bad here at 10%.

How does #3 work? I thought you had to keep the data plan for the duration of your contract.

I basically did this a while back (July '09). I had a BB Storm, and wanted the Tour when it came out (6 months later). On release day, I went to Best Buy and added a line and bought the Tour at the new customer/upgrade price. I had Best Buy activate it though on my existing line (not the new line). After I got home, I called Verizon and had them activate a feature phone on the new line (I have kept the line and use it for my daughter). So, I didn't have to add a data plan to the new line even though I was getting a smartphone that required a data plan. I did though have an existing line that had a data plan.

Not if you add a new line and activate a feature phone on it without a data plan. That's what I did a while back (see my earlier post).

I'm hoping by Dinc dies. Then I can upgrade to the GN and the wife can't complain too much (saving for house stuff).

Just for your reference and to answer your initial question - I checked terapeak to gauge your potential sale on eBay. The avg selling price over the last 7 days was $349 + $12 shipping. I think if yours is in excellent condition and you have the box, etc you can safely bank on selling it for $400. Minus $37 in final value fees and $12 in paypal fees you will net $350.
