What am I doing wrong???

Okay, so when using the slideout keyboard, if I have to use numbers and then go back to typing letters; the "a" "s" and "d" keys all stay symbols. The shift and function lights are not lit when it does this... I have to close keyboard, go to swiftkey Beta to type and then back to keyboard then works...

What is secret to keep this from happening? Is VERY irritating...

Does this happen if SwiftKey is switched off (ie, with the HTC keyboard selected?)

Nope. Not since I deleted swiftkey. Sigh. Liked that app.

I had this very same problem with Swiftkey X Beta. I think also the "b" key. I inquired and reported it to their Help site, but never got an explanation from them. I uninstalled the beta and went back to Swiftkey Pro, and I haven't had this problem since. I really liked the improvements in the beta (which will be Swiftkey 2 when out of beta), but couldn't deal with the aggravation. So I'll wait until it comes out of beta (reportedly in Sept. or Oct.) and upgrade to it. Upgrades will be no-cost to paid subscribers. I suggest you use the current Swiftkey version and wait for the upgrade to come out of beta.

Swiftkey X has just come out of beta, as reported today by AC. You can go to AC News and download it from there, or download it from the Market. If you already have the paid version, you'll receive a notification to download the update on your phone. The issues you mentioned seem to be fixed. But I'm having trouble downloading the language version: English (US).
